I have been captivated by landscape photography since a young age. I got my first (real….) camera as a teenager, and mucked around with that in Cork and Kerry – learning by trial and error. I emigrated to Southern California in my early twenties, and got re-inspired by a visit to Yosemite National Park and seeing some of Ansel Adams’ extraordinary images of the American West. And subsequently, during a visit back home, re-re-inspired by visiting Kinsale, County Cork, and seeing the work of Giles Norman and his images of Ireland.

My photography is about light and nature.  Like all of our senses, our sight has the ability to delight us with what we see and what emotions those sights create.  I have always been awestruck by nature – the forms, the colors, the light and the shadows, and I’ve had the good fortune to visit some truly extraordinary places.  These pictures are of those places.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did and continue to do.
